Ames U.S. Navy Percussion Pistol Dated 1844SOLD
Nice Brown Gun. Some pitting on the hammer and near the breech on the barrel, but not severe. Functions well. Lock is in nice shape, USN 1844 is marked strong, Ames mark is weak on the lock. Initials W.L. carved into the fore-end of the stock. Cartouche is faintly visible on the left side of the gun. Wood has a loose grain with some dents and dings but is in fair shape.
